SMLA & SMRA absolute modular encoders have been given a complete redesign compared to previous generation and two products are now merged into one - the all new SMRA2 absolute modular encoder.
The SMRA2 is new both inside and out, and is ideally suited for use in arcs, curved axes, and rotary applications.
The readhead is more compact but the special mounting support makes the sensor installation compatible with the previous models. Electronics are fully overmolded with IP68 protection rate, making it suitable for use under severe environmental conditions. The resolution has been increased up to 20 bits and the position information is provided through SSI and BiSS interfaces.
The new SMRA2 encoder also provides additional Sine-Cosine signals with differential 1 Vpp format for speed feedback. Lika Electronic designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of scales, rings, segmented rings, arcs, and curved structures complete with coded magnetic material. In addition to standard products, dimensions (outer diameter, shaft diameter, radius of curvature), materials (aluminum, stainless steel) and mounting methods can be evaluated in order to fit each application exactly.
